Parasols protect from the sun and the summer heat. That’s what we think about a garden umbrellas. An effective barrier against UV rays, an oasis of freshness on hot summer days. A functional element rather than a piece of furniture capable of decorating the outdoor spaces with elegance and bringing a touch of colour to any garden or terrace. Poggesi worked exactly this way, designing a new umbrella that put its primary function as a parasol first.

UP is the new central pole umbrella born from the desire to create an easy to use model, in both the opening and closing movement. Not invasive and perfectly suitable for small environments, but without forgetting beauty and resistance, fundamental characteristics for Poggesi, which boasts over three decades of history and experience.

UP has been designed to be light and easy to use. It’s equipped with a special push system that allows an absolutely manageable and fast opening movement, thanks to a pin placed on the lower collar. To close it, all you have to do is pull the crank downwards.

Reduced dimensions

The covering measures can reach a maximum of 300x200cm to ensure a simple push closing movement. The result is a small size umbrella, ideal to be placed into limited open air areas such as by the pool, rooftops and terraces, both private but commercial.

Parasols are essential accessories to fully enjoy the outdoor outdoor environments all year round. Therefore the practical function cannot be separated from the aesthetic one. And vice versa. Resistance and durability

Resistance is ensured by Poggesi long expertise. The structure is entirely made of high quality aluminium, varnished and coated with polyester-based thermosetting powders, which guarantee high resistance and durability. Up also comes with 35x20cm reinforced slats and stainless steel screws.

Chromatic personalization of both structure and cloth

Personalization is an extremely important concept for Poggesi, company based on an artisan soul. Therefore UP’s structure can be chosen in various palette finishes (thanks to the polyester-based powder coating) and many different shades for the fabric can be selected when designing the cloth, ranging from the most classic shades to the most modern ones in an “aggressive” style.
