Borzalino presents Regina, the new armchair designed by Andrea Andretta where Italian design meets Scandinavian style

Clean lines, new materials, craftmanship, attention to details. These are the distinguishing features of Regina, the new armchair designed by Andrea Andretta for Borzalino. A modern project which, however, seems to come from another time. As a matter of fact, Regina recalls the Scandinavian armchairs of the 50s/60s and evokes their essential lines and the relevance of their natural materials. These materials are still today the main character of the Nordic furniture. However, Regina is not inspired by the modern Danish design only. The armchair by Borzalino pays tribute to the craftmanship which made Italian design be great. A craftmanship which has always characterized the products by the Tuscan company.

Precious materials and masterly craftmanship

The core of Regina is the strong and elegant structure made of solid wood. The structure is proposed made of lacquered durmast or of canaletto walnut and is fully hand carved showing an exceptional skill in woodworking. The upholstery of seat and back are made of polyurethane foam and, as it usually the case for products by Borzalino, it is possible to cover them with a wide choice of top-quality fabrics and leathers.

The available fabric upholsteries are the ones of the Borzalino collection while in the catalogue there are nine leathers: Tuscania, Ghost, Nabuk, Rustico, Sequoia, Prescott, Seta and Epic. All the precious upholsteries are embellished with the upmost attention for details. There are also several finishings: from aniline for unprotected leathers, to pigments for protected leathers, until the finishings with vegetal oil for the armchairs made of vegetable tanned leathers (the most valuable ones).
