Cristalmood has four new colors

antoniolupi presents four new colors for Cristalmood _021: Mostato, Barrique, Vespero and Notturno. Four deep colors inspired by the landscapes of Tuscany

Mostato, Barrique, Vespero and Notturno. These are the new colors developed by Andrea Lupi and Gumdesign to enrich the Cristalmood_021 collection by antoniolupi. Four intense colors that find inspiration, once again, in the landscapes and products of Tuscany, the great muse of all the projects of the company and of Gumdesign.

From the enveloping shades of autumn to the deep shades of the night, the new Cristalmood palette by antoniolupi evokes horizons, scents and ancient villages. A world made of indistinct memories and layered emotions.

Mostato is a deep red, not yet fermented like must. It collects the full-bodied shades of a drunken and mysterious red. It tells of ripe pomegranates, purple buds and scarlet flowers. It contains the shades of autumn leaves: maple red, the bronze of oak and ash as well as the purple of beech trees.

As if aged in a cask, Barrique preserves the notes of fruity woods, vanilla and spices. It recalls the shades of the forest and autumn. It evokes the crackle in the fireplace and the tales around the fire.

Notturno contains the depth of blue and the invisible of darkness. It is the color of the night and its immensity. A mysterious shade that leads us into dreamlike digressions.

Vespero captures the moment that precedes the hiding of the sun under the horizon. An instant that radiates us with the intensity of the color range of orange: from bright orange to brick and brown orange.

The new Cristalmood colors by antoniolupi are added to the 13 colors already present in the catalogue: Ambra, Petrolio, Ginger, Ocra, Nebbia, Bottiglia, Cobalto, Lime, Sangria, Fumé, Ceruleo, Oleo e Gran Cru.

Cristalmood, is a transparent resin with a magical character

Mostato, Barrique, Vespero and Notturno cannot be traced to a code. The four colors have been specially designed to enhance the reflections and brilliance of Cristalmood. A transparent resin with a glossy finish and of extraordinary qualities, designed and patented by antoniolupi himself. Clear like crystal but strong like stone, Cristalmood is made of high quality polyester resin and coloring pigments.

The result is a versatile and extremely performing material. Cristalmood is in fact, anticorrosive and scratch proof. It is non-toxic, restorable and recyclable. It can be cleaned with all common detergents, resisting to denatured alcohol, acetone, oils, gasoline and diesel. And, thanks to its composition, it allows you to create objects that are about 30% lighter than those made with other solid surfaces.

Colors making

The transparency of Cristalmood gives water back its leading role in the bathroom. A feature that makes it perfect for shaping sinks and bathtubs. Its versatility allows it to be used also in unprecedented combinations with other materials, such as marble, wood or cork.

The products: Ago, Albume, Opale, Senso, Vitreo, Borghi sinks, the Reflex bathtub and the Asa, Nisi, Masa flower vases have been made in Cristalmood.

Craftsmanship that makes each product unique

If Cristalmood is a technological material, its processing is handcrafted. The resin, in its liquid state, is manually poured into the various molds. Once extracted, the objects are finished by sanding and polishing. A long and complex process that eliminates all imperfections and gives shine to the finished products. Thanks to this artisanal process, each Cristalmood sink, bathtub or accessory is unique and unrepeatable. Each characterized by slight differences in color, size and thickness or by small air bubbles that give character and authenticity.
